To my friends at HealthSouth,
On March 27, 2010, I had a very serious snowmobile accident that required me to have two surgeries to rebuild my pelvis, a trip to the ER to fight an infection, a hip replacement and a bunch of physical therapy along the way. As I was lying in the mud awaiting the arrival of the ambulance, I looked at my wife and wondered if I would live and then if I would get to dance at my daughter’s wedding on Oct. 16. Well, thanks to you and a cast of hundreds, you can see that I did. I am sure there are days when you wonder why you come to work and if you make a difference in the lives of those that you serve. Perhaps this picture answers the question not in a clinical way, but in the way most of us measure our lives – by making smiles and memories! Thank you for the path you have chosen and the difference you made in my life … and the lives of all you touch! May God continue to bless you as He guides your hearts and hands for the good of many.
